happy.

I am so happy lately.

Happy for spring and all of the glorious colors and flowers and warmth!

Happy for good times with good friends and my family.

Happy that I FINALLY saw The Cure on stage, live! And I danced my heart out.

Happy that I still feel young.

Why are you happy today friends?

Ramdom Acts of Kindness

What if you could change someone's whole day with a single act of kindness? You can. All you have to do is reach out. It's a little scary at first, the thought of opening yourself up to a perfect stranger, but really, what's the worst that can happen? They can walk away and think that you're crazy. OK. Life goes on. But imagine the GOOD that can come from the act of kindness when it is accepted! start small if you want, a friendly hello, a heart felt thank you, ask someone how THEY are and really, really listen. Or you can try what these folks did. . . check out this video, it's sure to make you smile. And then, go out and change someone's day for the better!

the beautiful maddie and her beautiful mama.

Maddie was another of the amazing, gorgeous children who modeled for us at Marmalade's, "See the Light" workshop" (http://www.seethelightworkshop.com/). This was a fantastic workshop that focused on pushing your business forward. What I loved most about the day we went out shooting, was that we were able to take the models off with a parent and really get to know them. Talk with them, play with them-just like we would do at a regular session! I love true human connection, and we were really able to take the time we wanted to share that with these kids and their parents! If you're thinking about a business workshop, I can't recommend this one enough! Now, on to more photos!!
Maddie was trying to decide which princess is her favorite. lol. She was full of funny stories!

And when she got tired, she knew where to turn for comfort and snuggles, her sweet mom. Yep, that's Whitney, mom to the adorable baby Lyla who you saw a few days ago. Whitney was so kind and gentle with her kids, such a joy to watch!

And someone was feeling recharged and silly again!

Thanks again to Marianne, the other attendees, and all of the parents and their children. It was a wonderful weekend! I still have a few more images to share tomorrow! Thanks for looking friends!

pure love.

aaaahhhh I LOVE seeing mama's and baby's just being together the way they are. The little nuances, the snuggles, the tenderness, the quirks of different children.
Here is sweet Lyla again (she was the upside down baby a few posts ago!) and her beautiful mom Whitney. I hope mom enjoys these. I sincerely enjoyed meeting them and watching them love each other.

Hiding with mom. LOL. Who hasn't experienced this?!

In honor of Mother's Day, and a sneak peek!

i wanted to do something fun to celebrate Mother's Day this weekend, so I decided to offer a fun "special" for Jennifer Lane Photography. Book your session and mention the Mother's Day blog post and enjoy 15% off of any prints you purchase from that session! This deal expires June 1, 2008 so don't delay!

Now, on to the photos! I'm going to post a mom/baby (or child) photo every day this week in honor of Mother's Day! Stay tuned, it's going to be fun.

The first of our mom's to be featured this week is Jen. A beautiful mom to two beautiful children. Baby Xander just arrived and is a sweetheart, laid back kind of guy! Big sister is loving him up and adjusting quite well!

Can I get a group "awww!" please? In this photo Xander is wearing the outfit his dad wore home for the hospital when HE was born! How sweet is that?!

And I had to share one of the beautiful big sister, look at that smile!
