I love that I get to watch him getting bigger, growing into his little personality. He laughs and squeals, scoots quickly across the room in pursuit of a ball, munches on his books, snuggles his mommy, he's got several tiny little teeth already and, get this, he LOVES to hang upside down! It's the funniest thing to watch, he throws himself backwards so his mom will tip him over! So cute. He's a bundle of sunshine. I hope you love the photos Jennifer, thanks for having me over to play!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3441/3235427354_c15eb17c94.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 500px; height: 500px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3441/3235427354_c15eb17c94.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3102/3235427098_a86ace342b.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 500px; height: 357px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3102/3235427098_a86ace342b.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3450/3235453898_ca22ab967d.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 500px; height: 500px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3450/3235453898_ca22ab967d.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3366/3234577245_c69c542398.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 500px; height: 357px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3366/3234577245_c69c542398.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3342/3234577169_812cb92b9a.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 500px; height: 357px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3342/3234577169_812cb92b9a.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a>Capturing the heart and soul of childhoodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18306500834940250714noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1744651946855109385.post-61537396278197169542009-01-19T11:10:00.001-08:002009-01-19T11:42:53.449-08:00Meet two super cuties-Logan and Luke! You know, I"m one of those people who think you can love every person you meet, simply because we are all people. Simply because we all deserve it. There was a line in a superhero movie recently that cracked me up-the female lead was telling the hero that he falls in love with every woman he meets. LOL. That's how I feel about these little ones I'm lucky enough to meet. They are fabulous kids, full of life and energy and so deserving of love and respect. And it is so easy to give it because they love people too. I feel so blessed to share photography with these families!<br /><br />I'm done rambling, lol. I'm happy to introduce you to the very adorable almost two year old ball of energy Logan and his very adorable baby brother, Luke. I hope mom and dad enjoy the sneak peek! Thanks for looking!<br /><br /><br />I wish I could say that I was responsible for this gorgeous, authentic laugh, but I wasn't! Logan was laughing and playing with his mommy and he just happened to turn my way! Lucky me! He had one of the most infectious giggles I've ever heard.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3502/3209708271_de70b92549.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 500px; height: 429px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3502/3209708271_de70b92549.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br />baby fingers are yummy!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3448/3209708339_15b35ff37d.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 500px; height: 429px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3448/3209708339_15b35ff37d.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br />Luke is one of those shiny, happy babies. We decided on a total whim to take off right after Christmas for some much needed SUNSHINE! We are very lucky to have amazing family here in Florida who graciously welcomed us to their home. It has been such a wonderful week! Total rejuvenation-mind,body,and spirit! It is my sincere hope that however your family has celebrated this holiday season, that it has been wonderful and happy for you! Many, many wishes for a VERY exciting, hope filled New Year!Capturing the heart and soul of childhoodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18306500834940250714noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1744651946855109385.post-39635914793541082812008-12-01T10:14:00.000-08:002008-12-01T10:28:17.540-08:00Well I guess it's official. . .Winter is here! Decatur was covered with our first snow of the season on Saturday night, and then again last night. The kids were so excited to wake up and find a couple of inches this morning. I wish I could say it was loads of fun playing outside, but somehow the fun never lasts more than a few minutes. . . how is it that it takes half and hour to get four kids (three of whom are self sufficient) dressed for snow and out the door, and then they only actually last out there for roughly, five minutes? Then you have a pile of wet clothes and shoes, lol. Aah, winter in Illinois! Only a few months to go! hahahaha. Stay warm and have fun friends!<br /><br />If nothing else, I have some fun new photos of my own kids, who have been woefully neglected in the photo department this fall!<br /><br />This is definitely a new favorite for me. My oldest son, Jack, hates to have his photo taken, but he was having fun and gave me a relaxed happy face when I called his name. Lucky mom.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3194/3075156786_e1b6e6f8d0_o.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 800px; height: 686px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3194/3075156786_e1b6e6f8d0_o.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3037/3074305669_2f196b44b5_o.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 800px; height: 686px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3037/3074305669_2f196b44b5_o.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br />I guess it's time to remove the pumpkins from the front porch! hahaha.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3022/3075142692_b66c3a8cf4_o.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 800px; height: 686px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3022/3075142692_b66c3a8cf4_o.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br />May I just point out that James is wearing his "indiana jones" hat. I really don't think I will ever, ever get tired of newborn sessions. I also don't think I will ever get used to being lucky enough to meet these beautiful new little ones and their families. What a blessing!<br /><br />Baby Owen was just as sweet as they come. A beautiful, tiny little guy with a mama who adores him (and I'm sure his daddy is nuts over him too, I just didn't get to meet him,lol.). Pure bliss! Many thanks to Rikki for sharing beautiful baby Owen with me. I hope you will love the photos as much as I do! The purest, most amazing love. The love of a brand new baby. Baby Laynee was just perfect and gorgeous and amazing. And her mom, oh my, her mom loves her! It was truly beautiful to watch. I felt so honored to be there, to witness that relationship, to capture this time for them. Thank you Sammi, for sharing your beautiful new daughter with me. It was a beautiful afternoon! I hope you'll love your gallery. <br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3170/3004960806_f562b8319f.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 500px; height: 429px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3170/3004960806_f562b8319f.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3287/3004960860_38cfb96c26.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 428px; height: 500px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3287/3004960860_38cfb96c26.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3051/3004960928_537fdcae5d.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 500px; height: 429px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3051/3004960928_537fdcae5d.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3236/3004960896_ca803a3918.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 428px; height: 500px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3236/3004960896_ca803a3918.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3188/3004984690_90faa2bb74.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 500px; height: 400px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3188/3004984690_90faa2bb74.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a>Capturing the heart and soul of childhoodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18306500834940250714noreply@blogger.com14tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1744651946855109385.post-74848475400374983112008-11-01T22:18:00.000-07:002008-11-02T17:50:16.292-08:00A beautiful birthday girl and her darling big brotherWhat a fun day this was! The adorable little Brielle turned two on the day of our session. She was so bubbly and happy and excited for her party-a costume party, so we even let the kids play in their costumes for a bit! What a fun little spirit she is! And her big brother, also just adorable, was excited for the party as well. Ethan was energetic and happy too. Thank you so much for sharing such a special day with me and I hope you love your gallery!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3254/2994530882_657bb4db31.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 429px; height: 500px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3254/2994530882_657bb4db31.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3175/2997014875_b6a32c7b87.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 500px; height: 429px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3175/2997014875_b6a32c7b87.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3041/2993687635_a81bea6e09.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 429px; height: 500px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3041/2993687635_a81bea6e09.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3230/2993687579_f06fd9a9a1.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 500px; height: 429px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3230/2993687579_f06fd9a9a1.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3159/2994546858_cf2c1bcbce.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 500px; height: 429px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3159/2994546858_cf2c1bcbce.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a>Capturing the heart and soul of childhoodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18306500834940250714noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1744651946855109385.post-75496846290048892712008-10-21T17:45:00.000-07:002008-10-21T17:50:29.112-07:00Guess which little pumpkin is six months old already?!Sweet Baby Xander-that's who! Take my word for it, it was a good song, though it has nothing to do with babies.<br /><br />I DO love this beautiful baby girl! You all may remember her from a few months back-I photographed her with her beautiful cousin, baby Madisyn. I only did a few of Miss Kylie and was THRILLED when her mom called for a session at their gorgeous home. What a treat to go hang out with Kylie again. She is just such a beautiful, sweet, charming baby. One of those that I want to put in my pocket and take home! <br /><br />We played with the roses her daddy planted, we ran around the yard, and then we headed to her precious little nursery to play some more. I had a wonderful time with the whole family. My sincerest thanks to Kylie and her parents, for sharing this time with me. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek! She barely slowed down for a second and was just SO full of personality! <br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3048/2783642512_ff95005abf_o.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3048/2783642512_ff95005abf_o.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><br />Did I mention how much big sister Madison loves her new baby?! Baby Xander is three months and his big sister,Evelyn, celebrated her fourth birthday in April. It is always a pleasure to see these two, and to celebrate who they are with photographs. I hope their mom and dad enjoy the little sneak peek!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3244/2714099427_2dc1cc84b2_o.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3244/2714099427_2dc1cc84b2_o.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3272/2714099485_08e5583740_o.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3272/2714099485_08e5583740_o.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3169/2714099563_b76b8ce6af_o.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3169/2714099563_b76b8ce6af_o.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3274/2714099293_e19824d7e9_o.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3274/2714099293_e19824d7e9_o.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3249/2714912660_fcbab14400_o.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3249/2714912660_fcbab14400_o.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a>Capturing the heart and soul of childhoodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18306500834940250714noreply@blogger.com17tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1744651946855109385.post-32417361238445271702008-07-19T22:50:00.000-07:002008-07-19T22:57:49.073-07:00A little bitty psa. . .We recently adopted this beautiful, SWEET three year old kitty from the animal shelter. He is amazing. So loving and sweet. Someone must have really loved him before he ended up in the shelter b/c he loves to snuggle and is just super sweet and mellow. We are so very happy to have him with us! And I hope that someone didn't lose him and misses him.<br /><br />So, the psa part-when I was at the shelter filling out the paperwork the lady at the desk said they had over SEVENTY cats/kittens right now. That's A LOT of cats. And that's just one shelter. I think there are four shelters in this town! While I was standing there a gentleman brought in seven more kittens. Wow. If you have ever thought about adopting a cat, do it now! There are some amazing, wonderful companions in these shelters, just waiting to come home!<br /><br />And please, please if you have pets-indoor or outdoor-please spay or neuter them. If you can't afford it there are programs through the shelters to help, and many vets will help if you just let them know your situation. There are just way too many homeless animals out there!<br /><br />Here's our new fur friend, isn't he cute?!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3181/2683856893_7445ecdfe0_b.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px;" src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3181/2683856893_7445ecdfe0_b.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a>Capturing the heart and soul of childhoodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18306500834940250714noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1744651946855109385.post-33971887067167230312008-07-07T20:23:00.001-07:002008-07-07T20:32:17.213-07:00An evening with IvyWith the heat of summer upon us, my sessions are generally a bit later in the evening these days, well, the outdoor sessions anyway. You can. All you have to do is reach out. It's a little scary at first, the thought of opening yourself up to a perfect stranger, but really, what's the worst that can happen? They can walk away and think that you're crazy. OK. Life goes on. But imagine the GOOD that can come from the act of kindness when it is accepted! start small if you want, a friendly hello, a heart felt thank you, ask someone how THEY are and really, really listen. Or you can try what these folks did. . . check out this video, it's sure to make you smile. And then, go out and change someone's day for the better!<br /><object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/vr3x_RRJdd4&hl=en&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/vr3x_RRJdd4&hl=en&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>Capturing the heart and soul of childhoodhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18306500834940250714noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1744651946855109385.post-39090042999643878632008-05-09T16:30:00.001-07:002008-05-09T16:42:40.781-07:00the beautiful maddie and her beautiful mama.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2192/2478653995_fe7a929216_o.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px;" src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2192/2478653995_fe7a929216_o.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></a><br />Maddie was another of the amazing, gorgeous children who modeled for us at Marmalade's, "See the Light" workshop" (http://www.seethelightworkshop.com/). This was a fantastic workshop that focused on pushing your business forward. What I loved most about the day we went out shooting, was that we were able to take the models off with a parent and really get to know them. Talk with them, play with them-just like we would do at a regular session! I love true human connection, and we were really able to take the time we wanted to share that with these kids and their parents! If you're thinking about a business workshop, I can't recommend this one enough! Now, on to more photos!!<br />Maddie was trying to decide which princess is her favorite. lol.
