Baby Xander is nine months already!

I can hardly believe this little guy is already nine months old! I love that I get to watch him getting bigger, growing into his little personality. He laughs and squeals, scoots quickly across the room in pursuit of a ball, munches on his books, snuggles his mommy, he's got several tiny little teeth already and, get this, he LOVES to hang upside down! It's the funniest thing to watch, he throws himself backwards so his mom will tip him over! So cute. He's a bundle of sunshine. I hope you love the photos Jennifer, thanks for having me over to play!

Meet two super cuties-Logan and Luke!

You know, I"m one of those people who think you can love every person you meet, simply because we are all people. Simply because we all deserve it. There was a line in a superhero movie recently that cracked me up-the female lead was telling the hero that he falls in love with every woman he meets. LOL. That's how I feel about these little ones I'm lucky enough to meet. They are fabulous kids, full of life and energy and so deserving of love and respect. And it is so easy to give it because they love people too. I feel so blessed to share photography with these families!

I'm done rambling,lol. I'm happy to introduce you to the very adorable almost two year old ball of energy Logan and his very adorable baby brother, Luke. I hope mom and dad enjoy the sneak peek! Thanks for looking!


I wish I could say that I was responsible for this gorgeous, authentic laugh, but I wasn't! Logan was laughing and playing with his mommy and he just happened to turn my way! Lucky me! He had one of the most infectious giggles I've ever heard.

Luke is one of those shiny, happy babies. I loved his bright, cheery eyes!


There is something so special about watching kids interacting with their parents. Logan was crazy over his mom and dad, and they were crazy over him. It was such a joy to watch!


Isn't it funny how, when they stop running for five seconds, they realize they are worn out?!

. . . wish you were here. . .

in sunny Florida with us! We decided on a total whim to take off right after Christmas for some much needed SUNSHINE! We are very lucky to have amazing family here in Florida who graciously welcomed us to their home. It has been such a wonderful week! Total rejuvenation-mind,body,and spirit! It is my sincere hope that however your family has celebrated this holiday season, that it has been wonderful and happy for you! Many, many wishes for a VERY exciting, hope filled New Year!

Well I guess it's official. . .

Winter is here! Decatur was covered with our first snow of the season on Saturday night, and then again last night. The kids were so excited to wake up and find a couple of inches this morning. I wish I could say it was loads of fun playing outside, but somehow the fun never lasts more than a few minutes. . . how is it that it takes half and hour to get four kids (three of whom are self sufficient) dressed for snow and out the door, and then they only actually last out there for roughly, five minutes? Then you have a pile of wet clothes and shoes,lol. Aah, winter in Illinois! Only a few months to go! hahahaha. Stay warm and have fun friends!

If nothing else, I have some fun new photos of my own kids, who have been woefully neglected in the photo department this fall!

This is definitely a new favorite for me. My oldest son, Jack, hates to have his photo taken, but he was having fun and gave me a relaxed happy face when I called his name. Lucky mom.







I guess it's time to remove the pumpkins from the front porch! hahaha.




May I just point out that James is wearing his "indiana jones" hat. He is rarely without that thing,lol.

Precious baby Owen

Sigh. I really don't think I will ever,ever get tired of newborn sessions. I also don't think I will ever get used to being lucky enough to meet these beautiful new little ones and their families. What a blessing!

Baby Owen was just as sweet as they come. A beautiful, tiny little guy with a mama who adores him (and I'm sure his daddy is nuts over him too, I just didn't get to meet him,lol.). Pure bliss! Sweet,pink baby Natalie, three days.

sweet,sweet new baby Laynee. . .four days new.

Love. The purest, most amazing love. The love of a brand new baby. Baby Laynee was just perfect and gorgeous and amazing. And her mom, oh my, her mom loves her! It was truly beautiful to watch. I felt so honored to be there, to witness that relationship, to capture this time for them. Thank you Sammi, for sharing your beautiful new daughter with me. It was a beautiful afternoon! A beautiful birthday girl and her darling big brother

What a fun day this was! The adorable little Brielle turned two on the day of our session. She was so bubbly and happy and excited for her party-a costume party, so we even let the kids play in their costumes for a bit! What a fun little spirit she is! And her big brother, also just adorable, was excited for the party as well. Ethan was energetic and happy too. Thank you so much for sharing such a special day with me and I hope you love your gallery!

Guess which little pumpkin is six months old already?!

Sweet Baby Xander-that's who! I seriously cannot believe he is already six months old! And I can't believe how lucky I am to have photographed him so many times! He just gets cuter and cuter, which I didn't think was possible! Slow down big guy!

La,La,Love Ya, Pretty Baby!

I realize I may be the only person who remembers the song by The Pixies that I got my title from,lol. Take my word for it, it was a good song,though it has nothing to do with babies.

I DO love this beautiful baby girl! You all may remember her from a few months back-I photographed her with her beautiful cousin,baby Madisyn. I only did a few of Miss Kylie and was THRILLED when her mom called for a session at their gorgeous home. What a treat to go hang out with Kylie again. She is just such a beautiful, sweet, charming baby. One of those that I want to put in my pocket and take home!

We played with the roses her daddy planted, we ran around the yard, and then we headed to her precious little nursery to play some more. I had a wonderful time with the whole family. Boy, oh boy,oh BOY!

Three adorable, sweetheart little boys,three times the fun, all in one family! This was such a fun, happy session (despite the mosquitoes who tried to eat us!). My sincerest thanks to Noah, Joel and baby Alex for a delightful afternoon at the park. You guys are awesome, and so are your very patient, very sweet parents!
